Let the clocks run free!

Today is one of two days every year that I feel great to live in Arizona. For all her faults, this state does not persist in all that Daylight Savings nonsense. While the rest of the country feels a need to mess around with their clocks twice a year we here in the Grand Canyon State can just sit back and relax and have a proper nights sleep. Check out End Daylight Savings Time for more information and their proposal for a better plan.

Speaking of the Grand Canyon. It is just a few hours up the road from me and quite amazing if you ever want to drop by and see it. Well its age and creation are not the subject of any serious debate among geologists. However recently the Bush regime supported the sale of a book at the national park that claims the Grand Canyon was carved by a quick big flood, the same one in which Noah somehow managed to save millions of species from all over the world.

I don't just mind that endorsing one religion over another at a federally-funded park is contrary to the first amendment. What scares me is that our president actually believes this nonsense. So, if you can't think of any other reason to vote for Kerry on Tuesday, just think about how casting your vote for Kerry will be like casting a vote for the future of critical thinking, logic and reasoning in the USA and the world.

And to my surprise, even before I put anything down, there is a comment. In a few days there actually will be something up for chapter one. PLEASE come back then. I'm desperate to be read.... And glad to live in a part of Indiana where THERE IS NO DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME.

Keep things simple is a good saying and government needs to downsize itself and DST is just one of thousands of things the government must rid itself. One person said the government could disappear overnight and our country would not skip a beat. I think we do need leaders, but not a system that is into everything.
